Sellwood Park
The neighborhood's largest park is a haven for outdoor sports and recreation. Across its almost 17 acres there are soccer, softball and baseball fields, tennis and basketball courts, horseshoe pits, picnic areas, playgrounds, walking, hiking and biking trails as well as public art. Sellwood Riverfront Park encompasses over 8 acres of beautiful waterfront property along the Willamette River. Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge
Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge area is an enormous network of meadows, wetlands and woods. Since 2018, a collaboration of local and nationwide agencies have embarked upon a large scale restoration and habitat enhancement project in order to create the best space for local wildlife. This is an amazing place to visit if you are interested in migratory birds, or just birding in general, or if your little ones would like to observe the lives of frogs and salamanders. Oaks Amusement Park
For adventure and thrills - look no further. The Oaks Amusement Park is the oldest, continually operational amusement park in the United States. Opened in 1905, the has maintained its vintage charm while offering over 20 rides, something for all ages and thrill level, as well as games, mini golf and America's oldest and most famous Roller Rink. Don't miss out on the original pipe organ, played during the final sessions on Thursdays and Sundays.
