Downtown Portland
Downtown Portland is the business center of the city, stretching from Burnside south to PSU, and from the River on the East over to the West Hills. Downtown Portland has every living option you could want, as long as you want condos. There are a few townhomes but they don't come on the market very often, so most likely you're only going to see condos on this page. If you're looking for a vintage 60's/70's condo check out The Harrison or American Plaza. For big condos with lots of 80's nostalgia there's always Fountain Plaza / Koin Tower. For newer, modern Downtown condos you'll have to venture to the other side of the South Park Blocks to Benson Tower or Eliot Tower.

Living in Downtown Portland
Living in Downtown Portland after 2020 is not without its challenges. You will walk by boarded up windows and tents. You will see protests. You will see mentally-challenged people yelling at trees. You may not want to venture out some nights. But you will be in the center of the action, good or bad, if that appeals to you. You'll also be close to PSU, the Farmers Market and some of the city's best bars and restaurants. The Streetcar runs right through the heart of downtown also for easy trips to the Pearl District or South Waterfront.
